Project Overview Goal: • Create a game engine for creating/playing card-based games like the Pokémon Trading Card Game • Implement a cross-platform client that allows two human players to play a card game • Should support turn-based play with no multiplayer for now. Just switch players manually between turns. • Use generic artwork for the time being. The goal of this project is NOT to create a full game, but to simply get the mechanics and User Interface working. Final artwork and networking code will be added later • The rules follow a more generalized version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game rules. You can review those rules in more details here [login to view URL] Platform: • iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Mac OS X, and Windows (via Cocos2D-x) Tools • Xcode • Eclipse Project File Structure: • Top-level “meta project” which contains all project directories needed for the supported target platforms (e.g. iOS, Android, Windows Phone, etc) Adheres to project design guidelines provided by Cocos2D-X community ([login to view URL]) See Nat Weiss’ article on multi-platform projects ([login to view URL])
