I am MS in wireless communication. I have 3+ years of experience with MATLAB and wireless communication. You can see by back ground here I have done a similar project in real time with GNU Radio and C++. MATLAB is vene easier. But one thing I have doubt about is that , is this a simulation based work or you want to do it in real time. The implementation diagram will be like this Image ---> A/D --> Compression --> Error correcting code --> Channel coding --> Channel Model--> Channel Decoding --> Error Correction --> Decompression --> D/A --> Image Lets discuss more about the project. As you said you want to transmit image which is already digital signal then why do you need to have A/D ? I am interested in this project.
