Develop a Corporate Identity

I need an original logo developed for my consulting business (public sector / public safety industry focus). This logo will serve as a visual depiction of my consulting business. The original logo needs to be scalable so that it's appropriate for display on something as small as a business card and as large a banner for a booth/table on an exhibition floor. The original logo itself should be simple, clean, depict an object in motion (moving to the right). My vision is an original outline design of a hawk in flight, but I'm open to other ideas, including, but not limited to original and unique images (think Apple, Motorola), or original and unique typeface (think Coca-Cola, Pepsi), or a combination of both. The original logo should should incorporate the word "GreyHawk" (alternate ideas are: "GreyHawk Consulting" or "GreyHawk Consulting Services" but those may be too wordy). As for typeface, I'm looking for an original work; something slanted right (to match the rightward motion of the logo), with a maximum of two fonts. The fonts could be original or an existing public-domain font). Brand mood elements should evoke the following feelings: innovation, simple, progressive, authoritative and trustworthy. Logo and typeface should be appropriate for black and white and color (I'm leaning towards orange and blue for the logo/typeface color, but I'm open to your creative ideas). I'll need formats that are appropriate for print and electronic display, along with the various typical electronic file formats (EPS, etc.). I'm not looking for a project that is time intensive; I believe I've provided a pretty good set of bounds within which you can apply your creativity, and I believe some of the best creative work by artists like you are your first couple gut reactions/visions. I need full, exclusive, unencumbered rights to the work. The project needs to be completed by March 31, with a budget not to exceed $400 USD. In order to ensure there is mutual understanding of the scope of work, provisions, payment and IP ownership elements, I would execute a simple freelance agreement (contractor agreement) prior to any work commencing.
