Can I sue my landlord?

I've entered a tenancy agreement last May 2016. Few days later, I've found out that the previous tenant had opened my rented warehouse unit. WOrse is that he had paid until end June 2016. Many things and unfulfilled happenings from my landlord had happened. I've tried to lodged a police report at Yishun but the police only asked me to ask my land lord why he rented out to 2 people at the same time. However, a diary was inputed into the police system as a tracking. What I would know is that whether I could claim damages for the spaces used to occupied the previous tenant furniture while the landlord had forced me to keep for at least 2 weeks? Also for the insecurity I had when the previous tenant still possess the door key while my goods were still inside. Also to seek injustice when I am entitled to a "normal piece of mind" rather than the thought of being scammed in the first place. The landlord's agent had also suggested me to terminate the contract when he found out that I knew about it. What's your advice?
