Develop an FTP data backup app. Java or other cross platform technology

This FTP application must be cross-platform, and work on PC and Mac. 1) Ability access and set many FTP addresses for sequential content download from different sources. 2) Parallel (for more speed) download of big number of files and folders from different FTPs or different folders of the same FTP 3) Ability auto resume download if in process even after computer restarts 4) If a folder changed since the last download add current date for domains/folders (of a predefined level in settings, all folders inside that folder do not need to have dates embedded) in this format: FolderName.04.04.2012 5) Be able to skip folders of a predefined level if the content has not been changed since the last download 6) Ability to choose destination of upload / destination folder for downloads 7) ability to set backup frequency like once a week; every 2 weeks; 3 weeks; month; etc 8) show error messages if FTP info changed or other problems occur 9a) we need to set a list of exceptions / paths to folders that we do not want to download. 9b) I want to setup a list of exception folder names and not download such subfolders as "cms" or "data", except we are downloading a fresh copy of a whole folder with a different name once a month? So basically - we just refresh small files in folders daily, but skip large folder with content Note: In the attached sample date was added to a sample folder in level 3 : <[login to view URL]>
