Detect a USB device from within a webpage (via Flash)

When the user visits the webpage, it should automatically detect the user's default printer and record the name of the printer model to my server. I assume that the user will have to manually 'allow' the script the permissions to detect the printer, that is OK. I know that flash can control USB devices which is why I suggested it, however you are open to use any other language if you'd like.
