Banner and logo for a nonprofit MOOC project

I'm preparing a free online course program aimed at low income adults who want to improve their qualification to find a better job. I need someone to help me design a logo for the project, and a top banner for it's website. The logo should contain the name of the project, Otevřená škola, which means Open School in czech. Be careful about the special characters, not every font supports them. The banner will be in the top area of the project's website. The name in the banner should be in a similar style as the one used on the logo. I'm open to ideas for the design, as I don't have a clear idea myself. Just keep in mind even though it is a “school”, target audience isn't children. Overall, the design should look professional (to support credibility of the project), but at the same time convey a feeling of something that is “easy to do” and “open to everyone”. Banner resolution should be 1500 × 445 pixels, or we can make it less tall if it looks better that way. I'll provide the context in which it will be used. Logo should be in SVG format.
