Catalogue Builder

We require a utility with in microsoft excel to create a pdf catalogue and also a pdf comparison chart. We already have one done from last year and really needs updating. We can send the original to anyone taking on the project. This is the brief from our customer: PRODUCT PAGES SPREADSHEET/MACRO: We want to be able to produce a catalogue which consists of 1 product per page, not 2 products per page as previously mentioned which will need to include product category, product name, description, features, 1 large image, 3 small images, part code, product title, price and a page number. With the seating category we do have sub-categories already existing in our current catalogue for example (Industrial & Lab Seating, Office Seating etc.) which will need to go in ‘Product Name’ in the template. The seating sub-categories are not currently entered in our ‘Bespoke Catalogue Builder’ sheet so I am assuming that this should be added as a column on this sheet? I have attached an example of our current product page so that you can get an idea of the design and see what information is included, I have also attached a template design to reiterate this. Regarding your programmers response I understand his suggestion to add a column to the existing “Bespoke Catalogue Builder” sheet for each smaller product image and for the features text. The macro will then be run on a new workbook with a new layout as an additional sheet in the workbook which will then pull in all the data from the “Bespoke Catalogue Builder”. As for the page number I am assuming that this can be coded in the macro and then will be incremented for each page the macro produces? In the new workbook for this will there be part codes down the left hand side referencing the master sheet and then a column for pricing in which case the macro will produce a catalogue only if there is a price entered for that product? COMPARISON CHART SPREADSHEET/MACRO: From my understanding your programmer has suggested to create a new Excel workbook with a sheet for each product category we have. As previously mentioned I am assuming we will need a sheet for each of the seating sub-categories as well. Each sheet would be laid out similar to how it looks in the catalogue for example comparisons down the left hand column with each product in their own column alongside with the comparison data entered for each. I am assuming that we can pull in the product name and image from the “Bespoke Catalogue Builder” sheet and then the rest of the data we will need to enter. I would like to know when the macro is executed, how will it determine which products are going to be used for the comparison chart? As I previously mentioned about having an additional sheet with all the part codes down the left hand side and then a column with a “Y” entered to determine whether to include that product or not but from your programmers response I don’t know how this will run as we won’t have prices in the comparison chart. I have attached a couple of examples of our current comparison chart to give you an idea of what we want.
