Need experienced Event Manager to oversight young team for 10 week project

Dear Freelancers! We are searching for a local person in Melbourne to help us in planning and delivery of a corporate conference in early August Project time for coordinator: about 20 hours, typically 2 hours one day a week over a 10 week period. Status: once We have a team of communications and project professionals planning a conference for about 100 attendees in the University sector. The team will soon be augmented by 2-3 Event Management students working 2 days per week to carry out most of the Event planning. The students doing the work will need the support and guidance of an appropriately experienced Event Management professional who review their initial event planning and then review and guide their progress along the way. In carrying out the work plan the students will be primarily supervised on a day-to-day basis by the project team who are onsite and comprised of professional team with communications, marketing, project management, event and venue management skills. So the Freelancer will be primarily responsible for supplying advice and coaching of the student project team. Some of the work reviewing progress of the student team may carried out remotely via video conference (we will support the set up of this where required) The freelancer must be willing to be in a contract/agreement. Ideally we would expect the Freelancer to attend the Event (August 2-4) , problem solving and making sure everything runs smoothly. Contractor ’s services will be nonexclusive to the Project Manager (provided that any services Contractor may perform for a third party shall not interfere materially with the services required hereunder).
