The project is to review a provided schematic for functionality (correct pinouts, etc) and provide any feedback (obvious reduction in parts) and then mainly create PCB layout.
The device is dump load controller and must have traces that can handle up to 80amps for extended period of time at 80C, and thru-holes for MOSFET to handle 40amps under the same condition. The board will have both surface mount and thru-hole parts. The size of the board be ~2 x ~3 inches with between around 30-70 parts. The unit will go into an enclosure and will have some limitation on design(enclosure has not been selected yet).
-Verify provided schematic for accuracy and offer any suggestive input.
-Create board layout
-Produce CAD and Gerber files compatible with Circuit Graphics and Gold Phoenix PCB.
It is preferential to provide CAD that are compatible with the EAGLE. I can provide the schematic in the EAGLE CAD format or as an image.
I will attach a image copy of a similar schematic, the changes are to add four MOSFET and replace the one in the lower right corner, an extra LED and zener, and a capacitor(s). Additional changes are possible.
The board needs to be designed with 1oz copper in mind, 2oz copper workable. Advise if not possible.
This project will not started on bid acceptance as i need to get parts in and test the intended design changes, I would plan on up to three weeks after acceptance before I would want you to start on the board layout.
