c++ QT help reading data from a weight scale virtual serial port

I have a weight scale that im trying to read data from via QSerialPort. The scale is a Mettler Toledo BC-60 and has a OPOS driver and a VB application that seems to be able to connect to it. But in my QT project im trying to connect and seem to be able to, but i am not able to get any data back, instead i TimeOUT and readAll().isEmpty is true. This is a fairly eay project for something with this type of experience, i will pay $100 simply for the help over a chat.
