To whom it may concern, I used to be a Mechatronics Engineering student in Brazil. I had studied for 14 months in the United States from June in the last year (2014) until August in the last year (2015), at IIT, Illinois Institute of Technology, in Chicago. During the summer I worked at the Robotics Lab, at this same institution, as researcher and executing activites for an unmanned ground-vehicle interaction project. As part of my tasks I needed to provide several spreadsheets with data entry and analyzis, graphs, charts and tables, as well as reports and also did a presentation about the project during the Research and Development Expo, with a poster about it. I have already taken classes for academic writing, Researching Methods and Writing, providing a paper as final project for both classes, and as an engineering student, I have other skills that are pertinent to the area, like some software usage, organizational skills and data processing. As a native English speaker, I feel I'd be able to bring a strong writing style to the piece(s) in accordance to what would be necessary for wiki pages and specifically for and academic topic like the one you've proposed. I also find the topic quite an interesting, so I'd be quite eager to learn a thing or two while completing your project. I wasn't able to find the pdf that you attached, so I found a sample textbook in architecture called 'Becoming an Architect A Guide to Careers in Design' and drafted a wiki page of my of my own from chapter 5: 'The Future of the Architecture Profession- Building Information Modelling', to serve as an example of what I'm assuming you'd like done for your project. This is what I drafted: Building Information Modeling in Architecture Building Information Modelling (BIM) describes the use of digital software tools to manage the various aspects of the building process. These tools allow for three-dimensional, real-time modeling of projects and thus increase the efficiency of building design and construction. Computer-aided design (CAD) is used to create a computerized representation of the building, thereafter BIM is employed to create a ‘virtual model’ of the building and it’s subsequent components.
