I have managed accounting software for a major Theatre company for the past three years and have redesigned there system to work with the C# MSSQL using entity framework and identity framework these tools combined with my knowledge will go a long way to making your project easily maintained for years to come. I would advise using a service orientated architecture for scalability purposes this will allow a multitude of front end designs to be used and conserve separation of all the layers of your application. I would need an outline of the entities you wish to track along with their fields, I would need rough designs of the front end. I would break this down onto a project board I would give you access to you would have access to the tasks I was working on and there current state. You would have sign off for tasks along with the chance to feedback on completed tasks. I would need access to a server that would be provided by you for deployment of the code, i would suggest and AWS instance as this would be economical and easy to set up.
