I have spent the last 6 years working for the world's largest online travel website, in the content department. For the first 4 of those years, I was writing commercial texts for properties as diverse as 5* hotels, cosy villas and happening hostels - so I know how to sell properties while making sure that all relevant information is conveyed in a readable, scannable yet commercial way.
Having spanned a few years' worth of changes to the company, I have also been involved in flexing my writing to various different styles, from something more formulaic and informative all the way up to the more flamboyant, wordy end of the spectrum (something I personally enjoy immensely).
For 2 years, I wrote travel guides for our customers - so I know how to inspire readers with a sense of excitement about a destination, using sparky, interesting, playful turns of phrase.
More recently, I've been writing more straight-marketing copy, which has allowed me to develop my range further.
