Diversity in Today's Organizations

 Visit the Diversity Training Group (DTG) website. There, I want you to read several brief articles to get a quick rundown of the topic. - First, click on “8 Major Myths of Diversity”. Quickly read this and comment in your paper briefly on several myths that caught your eye. - Next, take a look at the Top 10 Reasons Diversity Programs Succeed/Fail and take some notes you might use in Part II later. In your paper, summarize a few key reasons why diversity training fails and succeeds in an organization (again briefly in your words – please don’t just give me all 10 right back!). - Take a look at the brief section on diversity metrics (2nd article in list) and integrate with those you’ll read just below. Finally, feel free to mill around the site for additional material that will help complete part II. answer these Q in an essay Do you consider UD ( my university name) to be a diverse organization? Are there features that promote diversity? (What evidence do you have to support your conclusion? Dig around/snoop/Google our website and find some, and then cite it).  From your look at UD’s diversity policies, procedures, data, etc., do you think that any of the myths described by DTG (above in Part 1) play a role in our actions/policies? Do some of the best and/or worst practices identified by the DTG website apply to UD? Are there metrics by which UD could (or does) assess the effects of its diversity policy. Cite specific examples/data and justify your answer to this bullet here.  How does UD’s policy stack up with the best practices used by organizations you have researched, such as Microsoft and J& J?  Importantly: If you were reporting to the VP of HR at UD, what suggestions do you have to improve diversity management? Here, you’ll want to rely on your findings from Part I above. Don’t pull things out of your hat – instead, tie them to the readings/what you found among the best practice companies & can apply here. Provide specific suggestions to UD and what you expect will result from those suggestions (i.e., the outcomes that will result from your suggestions) writing an essay around 3 to 4 pages as soon as possiple and use articles to search and be sure this essay is personal response do not copy any thing from what you read..finally site any source you read.
