Is there a software in the "ports" in FreeBSD 7.4 named Trafshow.
The Trafshow is a software for monitoring traffic from a FreeBSD server, to run the software on the main screen you can choose the interface on which to analyze, is shown after selecting all traffic on that interface, showing the ip, mask, port, bytes, speed, etc..
What I need is a small change in trafshow version 5.2.3, I need the main screen where it listed the names of interfaces, eg:
Linux: eth0, eth1, ethx
FreeBSD: em0, em1, em2
Rather than display the actual name of the interface, a friendly name to appear, this friendly name in an XML file is as follows:
<interfaces>
<lan1>
<if>em2</if>
</lan1>
<wan1>
<if>em1></if>
</wan1>
<lan2>
<if>em0</if>
</lan2>
</interfaces>
TRAFSHOW the current screen:
Interface Address Description
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
em0 0:2:b3:b1:9a:84 10.1.1.1 Ethernet
em1 0:e:c:b1:df:dd [url removed, login to view] Ethernet
em2 0:e:c:b1:df:ac [url removed, login to view] Ethernet
TRAFSHOW expected screen:
Interface Address Description
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
LAN2 0:2:b3:b1:9a:84 10.1.1.1 Ethernet
WAN1 0:e:c:b1:df:dd [url removed, login to view] Ethernet
LAN1 0:e:c:b1:df:ac [url removed, login to view] Ethernet
