Looking for a node.js designed micro/function web tool for my end users.
Using a standard web form, take web the email address form input, do a dns txt lookup using node.js resolveTxt and resolveCname and push the user after form completion to a generated url based on [login to view URL] TXT lookup. (Priority weight is on the TXT over CNAME). the form can be a one field form, I don't require anything else from web form as they would be an existing client.
What i need need is user > webform > dns lookup [login to view URL] TXT or CNAME = [login to view URL] > site redirect to [login to view URL]@[login to view URL]
The [login to view URL] is pulled from the txt lookup, no lookup available, produce a user notice on micro site to "Please update your domain name, create a DNS txt record to match your email provider".
So what the form does, take a email address, lookup the [login to view URL] txt and the failover option a cname record upon TXT failing and redirect the webform user to load a specific url based on the txt result with trailing email address as part of URL, ie DNS lookup = [login to view URL] cname [login to view URL] = [login to view URL]@[login to view URL]
In the case I manage the emails, I will have virtual host listening at the defined txt/cname record lookup ie [login to view URL] with a .htaccess absorb the trailing email address in the URL to generate a valid xml output for email discovery file creation.
This node.js microsite tool must do the DNS lookup, it must load the resulting txt lookup and generate the URL with the trailing /email@address to remain dependant on the DNS txt result. All I expect is that the site is portable and only node.js host function is a requirement.
I am a small email provider, and this tool will allow my end users to access the webform via public URL, enter their email address and then have the correct autodiscovery xml file generated for them based on the URL redirection the node.js microsite creates for the end user.
