The general requirement is to scan a document to a file and store it against a client reference. We then want to view a list of documents against a client and click on one to view or print it.
In more detail:- the user will click on a scan button, there will be a tick box for preview. While the document is being scanned the user will enter an account, reference, category, date, Page No, Brief description, notes.
There will be options to set defaults for these items, last entered or increment.
There will be a facility to create / maintain the account details
The fine detail will be discussed on acceptance.
This system must be delivered on time and incorporate error checking and a good gui
One the document has been scanned the user will be notified and can view the document on screen, save or cancel.
The documents will then be saved with the relevant information. I suggest the document is stored with a unique id which is stored in a transation file together with the other information. This will be linked to the account file.
There will be a view option where we can call up a client see all documents with their date, brief des etc. We can then click on a document and view it. Their will be a search option and options for the way the documents are sorted on screen.
The system will run over a network. It must be independent of the type of scanner used. If the scanner has a sheet feeder it must treat each document as a new one.
The system will use VB6 and access databases.
The viewing system will incorporate zoom and scroll facilities
Where there are several pages with the same reference there will be a +/- option to expand and see details of individual pages
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
