javascript change code a little easy fix for javascript expert

Ok here is the description of what I need to be done.

I need a html <div> input so that saying its contenteditable and for it to keep the focus and cursor position when editing this edibable div

The project is almost complete. I need this small project modified [login to view URL]

You'll need the source for [login to view URL] and you'll need the three folders from it, black, color, and data

As help, I'm trying to use the example page and modify the div that is an input there

I have attached my almost attempt to get this working.

In the modified project that you will fix, the openmoji-picker I need for the div to change emoticons <3 to a heart and keep typing and have focus and the same cursor position

this is what I tried to do:

I tried to change the line 484 of [login to view URL] from addEventListener('blur', e => {

to addEventListener('keyup', e => {

that changes the text to emoticons but still does not have focus, anyway, change the script or put changes in the html file.
