Updated* I am looking to have an Ipad Language learning app built.
The main specs are as follows:
The iPad app will consist mainly of 7-14 screens.
The app will be based on a Tab bar interface.
A horizontal tab menu should grace every one of the screens.
The menu will contain these icons:Home,Read2Learn,Flashcards,Picture quiz,Dictionary,Notes,settings.
The main screen (welcome screen)should be a browser like interface "Google like homepage". My website should be shown and accessible for all connected users.(Authentication is required)
The read2learn icon when pressed, should bring up a pop over menu allowing the user to select a lesson which would be in a PDF format. The lessons or PDF's will be roughly 70. Once the lesson has been chosen, the tab menu should be visible and if desired auto hidden. Gestures should be enabled to allow the user to change the pages (left and right swipe). Highlighting and saving words should be available as well.
The flashcard icon when pressed, should bring up a pop over menu allowing the user to select the desired category of sentences he/she wishes to learn. Once selected, the user will be brought to a screen to practice. This screen should contain the correct answers and 2-6 wrong ones. The possible answers should be scrolling back and forth at different speeds. The user will also have a countdown timer present. Once time has expired the question is marked as wrong. Results will be saved and tabulated. Once the user has mastered that specific category, the option for that category on the pop over menu shall be striked through or highlighted red(representing completion).
The Picture quiz icon when pressed, should bring up a pop over menu allowing the user to select the desired category he/she wishes to learn. Once selected, the user will be brought to a screen to be quizzed using pictures (4-6).
The same process must follow as described above. The pictures should be shuffled as well. Not static. A sound will be played whenever the right or wrong answer is selected. Audio will accompany each picture. The sound will be played and the user will have to select the correct picture.
The dictionary icon when pressed, should allow the user to search a dictionary for words in the target language or in English. A table view will be required with a search box. The dictionary will be populated with a specific file in excel or sqlite format, as you see fit.
The notes icon should allow the user to save words for personal review. These notes should be exportable to iTunes or drop-box etc.
The flashcards to lean singular and sentences should allow the user to be quizzed more frequently on the cards he/she has wrong.
A setting icon should allow the user to define the app volume, and other basic features of the app.
This will be a lite version of the app, therefore some categories and lessons should be locked (grayed out).
Users should be able to buy additional content.
A PDF containing mock up drawings and additional information will be sent to the winner. This will speed up the process and simplify things.
Again, all information such as questions and answers for the quizzes will be in excel, sqlite or as you prefer. Sound files will be in mp3.
I will provide you with 10 pictures, questions etc to test the apps functionality.
The excel or alternative files will be set up as follow:
Question Answer Category Sound Picture.
Any additional information regarding this project shall be added accordingly.
