Custom PHP install on dreamhost

I have a site hosted at dreamhost that requires the php extensions for MSSQL. The instructions for compiling a custom php install can be found here:

And I need MSSQL (and freeTDS which it requires) added per these instructions:

compile PHP with --with-mssql[=DIR], where DIR is the FreeTDS install prefix. And FreeTDS should be compiled using --enable-msdblib."

The php install should still include all the existing default configuration for dreamhost php 5.3.5. You can view a phpinfo() of that default install at:

The end result should be an install script similar to the ones listed at the dreamhost wiki page which can be re-used to install this version of php on multiple domains.

I will provide a sandbox dreamhost domain for testing.
