Chomebook OS built on Ubuntu LTS

The current open source Chromebook OS is built on the Gentoo linux distribution. The one really good, turnkey install is CloudReady from Neverware which uses Gentoo and a non-standard Linux security method for the file system. This means you can't cleanly install it for dual-boot.

The result I am looking for is a turnkey Chromebook OS exact look-a-like. It needs to be willing to share a legacy (not necessarily UEFI) hard disk and dual boot with Windows 7 or higher as well as share with other linux distributions.

I am assuming a custom written desktop that uses the Chromium browser as its default. The desktop must be a exact look/feel for a Chromebook. The desktop needs to be as lightweight as possible while still providing the look-feel.

The results must provide turnkey support the following Video and Wifi cards/chips. 1) Video: Intel GMA's, Nivdia, Ati (aka: Radeon) and need to discuss SIS video support. 2) Wifi support must include at least Intel, Atheros and Broadcom chips/cards. I am open to other chips/card support but these I know about.

The best Ubuntu installs I have seen offer to install it besides a current Windows setup as well as clear the hard disk and make the Ubuntu the sole OS. So this is pretty much the standard installer for Light Ubuntu and Lxle.

Examples of similar projects are CUB Linux (was Chromixium). He has a similar desktop but not an exact look alike due to the limitations of the desktop he built it on. That is why I am presuming a full custom build. There is a near duplicate desktop that someone started that you may be able to get the source on.

As of now I am thinking I want a 32 bit distribution because it will run on more old hardware.
