Change cell dimension if a post is marked as "featured"

Hi,
I bought the Wordpress "Snippet" theme from [login to view URL]
I want to make only 1 change to this template:
If a post is marked as FEATURED, the size of the rectangle containing this post on the first page, must be doubled. And the quantity of text filling this rectangle must be more important (empty space must be filled with the text)
I join an image of what I'd like (see the rectangle with the girl inside).
FYI, my budget is really low. It's for personnal use.
