I need a favicon for a website that supports research on Sharks and Rays.

It can be representative of either a shark or a ray. It should not portray them as scary. It should not be cartoon-like. This is a site for scientists and researchers.

    Many of these would not do well at 32x32 in a browser tab.
    #4 is definitely on track.
    And #1 should be flagged just for wasting everyone's time.
