PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STYLE OF THE SEATS THEMSELVES ARE CONTROLLED BY OUR SEATING SOFTWARE AND CANNOT BE CHANGED. SO THE CONTEST IS ABOUT DESIGNING HOW THE MAP WILL LOOK AROUND THOSE SEATS SUCH AS BACKGROUND COLOR, BACKGROUND IMAGE, STAGE, ETC. ITS AN OVERALL STYLING OF THE MAP OTHER THAN THE ACTUAL SEATS THEMSELVES.

We need to come up with a new overall design for the background of venue seating maps for events like concerts. Right now our seating maps have white backgrounds and sometimes we draw lines to indicate walls and pathways or sometimes it's just seats by themselves. We want to come up with a new standard way we create maps that looks great, is professional, and consistent.

I've attached a few screenshots of how our current seating maps look along with a few mockup ideas. The mockup ideas have the background color not white and then have a background image that has lines to indicate the shape of the venue and the grouping of the sections. Here is what we need:

1) What should the background color be?
2) What should the background image be? (Do we draw lines for venue walls and pathways or no?)
3) What should the stages look like?

The attached "Ideas" are not necessarily things we like but to give you a sense of how the design can be a little different in terms of background, lines, shading, labeling, stage, etc. NOTE - The stage should always be at the top and not to the side like some of the "Ideas". So please make all submissions with stage at the top.

    Where's the venue? Don't you have a floor plan of the venue with actual seats so that illustrations can be more accurate and detailed?
