This is a stock simulator built in Flex and web services in ASP.NET. It also handles FOREX trading simulation. Almost all quotes are retrieved from Yahoo Finance, except the FOREX quotes, which are stored in the service server and loaded by the simulator on demand. Built in Flex / Flash.

Stock Simulator (Flash)

$This application connects to a Stock Broker through its API and retrieves quote information from an specific Exchange/Symbol. The app subscribes to the specific Exchange/Symbol and handles the quotes received and last-trade information from Events in the API Callback. It also creates two parallel threads which run the storage of Quotes and Last-Trade Information (aka: T/S). These quotes and last-trade info are stored temporarily in memory queues until a parallel thread retrieves the items from the queues to store them one by one in an SQL Server Table as they arrive. The application.\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\nThe application can handle high loads of information in peak hours and for long periods of time with low to moderate memory consumption depending on the trading hours.$

Project for WiredCells

Worst experience EVER working with a freelancer. After having discussed our project in detail, John promises us he would do the job for $4500 in 1 month. He took our advance payment of $1125 and instead of starting our project he takes on other projects. 4 months later he cancels the 2nd milestone and blocks all communication. Support placed sanctions against him and his account and he still refuses a refund or any form of communication.
