I am 28 years old and presently working as Data Analyst in a renowned international applied economic research institute known as Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala State, INDIA. I have got more than nine years practical wisdom in social research and three years in marketing research as well as information management.
I have more than nine years of experience in handling various statistical software like SPSS, STATA, TSP, LIMDEP and three years in SAS and other business intelligence software. I have worked for international agencies like FORD Foundation, UNICEF, ITDG, WORLD BANK, International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and European Commission in different research projects under the aegis of Centre for Development Studies, Thriruvananthapuram. I also work as Data Consultant for various NGOs and Marketing research firms in Kerala (Socio Economic Unit Foundation- Government NGO in Kerala, [login to view URL] and Norma Social and Market Research Group, [login to view URL]). Besides, I work as freelancer in market research, information technology, e-commerce, and new media related subjects. Having successfully completed graduation in Commerce with computer science and subsequently completed Masters in Foreign Trade of the Central University, Pondicherry.
I have handled an IT column in the publication ‘Vijnanakairali’ published by State Institute of Languages, Kerala Government ([login to view URL]). It is an accepted scientific journal by universities in India. I scripted and presented a series of IT related talk shows on popular television channels, ASIANET and Kairali. I authored a best selling book in Malayalam language about international job opportunities and it has been published by one of the leading marketing research group in Kerala named NORMA Social and Market Research Group ([login to view URL]). I am frequently writing articles on different subjects including research-related works and activities on various English and Malayalam Dailies in the country.
I have pretty good knowledge in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and tools; and thorough knowledge in designing and developing primary survey questionnaires for social as well as market research. I am familiar with several national and international secondary databases such as UN database on international trade, World Bank data sets, WTO and UNCTAD data sets on Rules of Origin, Census of India, National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO), National Family Health Survey (NFHS), and India Trade Database and so on. Deep knowledge in error-free digital compilation of large volume of primary data into user friendly format for further analyses applying both statistical and econometric tools with the aid of most modern softwares as SPSS (from DOS based version to SPSS 14), SAS, TSP, STATA, EPIINFO, EXCEL and ACCESS.
I have been distantly assisting and collaborating with so many international researchers located different parts of Europe and USA for collecting and analysing data for disseminating them. I am always interested in doing innovative social/market research, data compilation and manipulation, field training and bibliographic management of international standard. Content research is my favorite and inborn hobby and much interested in New Media research as well. Now, I would like to devote whole my time for Business intelligence and industry level data analysis.
