I am building an application for organizing and sharing study materials. I need to load course ID's and titles for three alpha sites. The course listings are on public web sites. I need a developer to create web scrape scripts for the three alpha sites. Deliverables will include CSV files of spring 2017 course offerings and source/script code. Open source only.
Alpha sites are Georgetown, UNC Chapel Hill and William and Mary.
The course access URL's are below.
For UNC it appears that scripts must work in two phases -
a- grab the list of subjects
iterate through subjects by starting letter A-Z and grab the subject codes
b- Grab courses for each subject
Iterate subject list.
For each subject request all classes. Site limits results to 130 classes, so specify instructor starting name from 'A' to 'Z'.
Grab course code/names only; ignore the multiple course offerings
Similar goal but different navigation from the other two sites.
