Lookup Products on Amazon using their Products Advertising API (R&D Task)

We need a good web api programmer with skills to make some R&D for us, with this Test Project:
An ASP.net page with VB.net code behind, that can get into Amazon Products database using their Amazon Product Advertising API. There are several links on internet explaining how to do this using their APIs.

This will be a single web page with the following features:
1. A Combo box named cb_Category with these (hardcoded) values: Software, Men Shoes, Women Shoes, Clothing. (These will be used for test purposes only)
2. A Text box named txt_Search where user will enter any search.
3. A button named btn_Search to lookup for products found in Amazon Products database, in cb_Category, that matches search criteria. For example: cb_Category: Software, txt_Search: Disney, will look for Disney products in Software Category.
4. Show main Image, Item Description and Price of found products.
This is the same test/tutorial project described in the link below. If the programmer knows or have a better way to solve this task, suggestions and ideas are welcome, as long as these could be easily integrated into main project, wich is in ASP.net. The goal on this project is to have this page working and see the code working in ASP.net + VB.net

This is a basic/simple project, that will serve as a test project for the programmer, as we have a bigger project with a lot of related tasks, all of them requiring good knowledge of Amazon Product Advertising API.
The programmer who solves this basic task will be granted the next (more complex) tasks on this project.
