How big are those excel sheets? Maybe it's doing stuff it shouldn't. Often a spreadsheet grows too big to be handled by excel itself. If that's the case, then one should redesign the sheet. If you want I can help もっと

Reasons: 1) If you are using VBA then macro must be not using system performance control parameters to increase performance of tasks assigned to it. 2) Too much data in spreadsheet with too much formulas.

Seeing your description lacks any information, I am guessing it is a recorded macro? Recorded macros make a lot of cell selections, copying and pasting. These functions are slow. More information is required.
