multiple categories bug

a freelancer from here he did create multiple categories on my website.
later on after the project end, i start to notice that articles that running on multiple categories are deleting itself without explanations.
example of the problems:
lets say we have some articles in main category called "celebrities" and also they are in additional categories (multiple articles) as well.
few days later some articles that they already assigned to additional categories just disappeared from the additional categories and only kept in main category "celebrities"
in other words, multiple categories not holding in the DB especially those with high clicks (higher traffic)
please take note
the payment of the project will only be released after 3 weeks of completing the job
this project required about 3 weeks in testing to make sure the DB not deleting my additional categories
