Software to design a Container House Online
Requirement: We seek a prospectus or quote for developing the below software and also milestones proposed.
About the Product: We want to build a house designer software on the lines of [login to view URL] and [login to view URL]
In our software we want to use containers and not using the traditional materials to build a house/strutture. That is the only change that we want to do. Since containers are only available in a few sizes the dimensions will have to be according to the amount of containers used.
From the users point of view, the user can select containers and place them and see how they look like. Then he can change the configurations. He can remove walls, put in staircases, add features such as a slanted roof, windows, doors etc. Everything remains exactly the same as it is in [login to view URL] but we want to use container and option to select containers and place them to build the house.
First milestone: The Technology used to create a 3D house sketcher is mostly Java (from what we surveyed but we might be wrong!) but you as a developer can propose your preferred tech method.
The first stage of the project is to send us an architecture of Languages (Java Script vs C# or other), Databases (rough idea on tables / MYSQL) that could be used to build such software with milestones, time required (hours or monthly), billing methodology (hourly or for the project). Or importing a 3D house model that already exist in the open source world?
From what we have surveyed and read over internet, below is a proposed design but feel free to propose changes. We might not need a lot of things if they exist on sourceforge / other open source platforms. For example we might use is the MEAN STACK Development architecture. The idea is not to rebuilt the software for mobile devices.

If there is an open source library already available in Java for 3D houses, the best idea would be start from there. Java scripts seems to have the vast array of tools required to build 3D models? We don't know.
In this milestone, I want from developer a design roadmap to depict the best path to build this software, frontend backend information others.
First Prototype: The first prototype is just to place container one over each other or one beside each other in a 3D environment. Which is one container into, on or over the other.
We already have a wordpress website ready so there is no need for any web development - we would host this software as a flash output (or Java script) on the website.
Some More Notes about the software requirements: We want a program which allow people to design and build their shipping container homes the way a video game would operate. They can move pieces around and edit the house according to their specifications. There are some other features which we will want over time but the main thing for now is to create the architecture software in the first milestone.
