a. To create a website where people (members) can create their own obituary profile page to define themselves as they want rather than how the world perceives them when they age and die. This would include all general details of themselves along with pics, videos and timelines
b. The site also allows members to create a similar profile for loved ones that have passed away. Either family and friends OR the only the general public can access this based on the password protection
c. Members will have the current status Living which can be changed to Deceased when they pass.
d. Each member’s pages have general access and some have family access protected by a family password created by the member who issues this password to other relevant family or friends
e. Each member can nominate a list of family, friends, co-workers etc who they want to be contacted when they die either by a mailer from the website or by social media requesting permission for ALS to notify them on the members death but intended to get them to join.
f. Profiles can be categorised so that people visiting the website can search by category and/or location, profession etc
g. NEW addition: due to Covid 19 the site will have a facility to allow live streaming of funerals and/or other events to family, friends or the general public.
I have been trying to do this using Wordpress plugins and get close but eventually get stuck because I do not know php coding.
Also I need to create customized fields and rearrange theme.
Landing Page is to be inspiring (not tacky) asking viewer how they want to be remembered.
There are several other stages to go so I hope to connect with a designer/programmer that can complete them all.
