This project is to integrate collections efficiently, effectively, and at will of Utopiat website administrators from Shopify to the [login to view URL] website, hosted by WordPress without altering the current X theme (developed by [login to view URL]).
The integration must be able to feature particular collections determined by the website administrators not already on our Shopify website ([login to view URL]), but instead on our WordPress website. The integration must be done in a way that purchases made on [login to view URL] are done through Shopify’s services. The site must successfully abandon WooCommerce and its services while keeping the Utopiat Emporium’s current browsing aesthetics and functionality.
The current Shopify Importer plugin is what is currently being used to import Shopify information from a CSV file. The CSV files used for this plugin are exported from our Shopify account.
The current existing Shopify widget available for purchase from Shopify does not meet the standards of the project and must not be used.
• The "Embed a Shop" option interrupts the fluid browsing experience of the Utopiat website and does not fit the site's aesthetics. The option is also not at all mobile-friendly; the responsiveness of the [login to view URL] shop (The Utopiat Emporium) dissolves quickly on mobile under that option.
• The "Embed a Product" and the "Buy Now Button" options require single uploading of each item one at a time, which is too inefficient of a solution; the Utopiat web administrators plan on future uploads of hundreds of products and must be able to do so efficiently and effectively.
Another aspect to this project is adding an audio player to our website. The player must:
• be responsive on all platforms (desktop, tablet, and mobile),
• be functional with current X theme,
• play continuously, though not automatically, even while pages load/reload as viewers browse the site,
• be able to feature a playlist that is adjustable by Utopiat admin only,
• blend well with the clean look of the Utopiat site, and
• be visible in a way that is not obtrusive, distracting and/or takes too much screen space.
Please Note: The X theme by [login to view URL] currently used must not be removed or altered in any way outside of means through the standard WordPress Customize option.
