Blackberry Contacts Context Menu Addition

I need a BlackBerry application which adds a new option to the Contacts Context Menu where a contact has one or more stored phone numbers. When the new Context Menu option is selected, an email containing the selected contact's phone number should be created and sent to a fixed/unchanging email address. Where the selected Contact has more than one phone number recorded against them (e.g. Work and Home), the user should be asked to select one of those phone numbers before the email is generated. If email generation or sending fails, the user should be notified by some means to be agreed.

I am unsure whether a single application can be written that will work on all current and historic BlackBerry platforms. If not, some discussion will be required regarding the platform(s) on which the application should run.
