WPML & Custom Permalinks

We have a website that use WPML for translation and we had been using Custom Permalinks ([url removed, login to view]) on our local dev site to allow for the same named post across multiple categories.
On live, the set-up is to use 2 separate domains for the languages. This causes 404's if the Custom Permalink plugin is enabled.
We really need this to work properly.
PLEASE NOTE: Only people who are willing to write a proposal will be considered for this job, so if you can't be bothered, don't waste your time bidding!
