Automotive Dealer Application

Our project is to develop an Android & iOS application for an auto dealer.

The application will have the following features.

Splash screen featuring dealer logo / picture

Screen will layouts similar to attached screenshots

All screens will have a click to call phone number button at the top right with a green "phone" icon that calls a predefined phone number

App functions / screens

Car search - this will display a mobile enabled website with the dealers inventory

Service

- Call Service Department Button - click to call a pre-defined phone number

- Schedule An Appointment - this will display an interactive form the user can fill out and it will email the form entry details to an email address. This will have the following fields; Requested date of service with a date / time picker. Type of service requested with a picker to choose from up to 10 pre-defined options. Car make, car model, car year, customer first name, customer last name , customer phone number, and additional info. There will be a submit & reset button at bottom of app.

- Service Specials - This will link to a mobile webpage that displays the dealers current specials

- Service Feedback - This will display a form that allows the user to give the dealership feedback. It's fields will include, Name, Phone, Email, Subject, & Message along with a submit & reset button that will email to a predefined email address.

- Roadside Assistance - This will display a page that shows different phone numbers that are available for roadside assistance and the phone numbers will be able to be click to call.

Parts Inquiry - This will display a form that will ask for the users name, phone number, & email address and a message field that will allow them to input the part or parts they are looking for.

Contact

- Call Us - click to call a predefined phone number

- Email us - utilizes feedback form previously discussed

- Directions - displays a map with directions to the physical address of the dealership. After the user authorizes the use of GPS, it will find the best route via google maps to the dealership.

- Hours - This will display a page with the various hours of the dealership.

Tools

- Gas Prices - This will display the mobile friendly page from mobile gas prices

- Add to contacts - this will add the dealers contact info to the users phones address book

- Loan calculator - this will pull up a simple form that calculates the users monthly payment after they enter in the vehicle price, down payment, number of months, & the interest rate.

-Flashlight - this will display a white screen that the user can use as a light until they tap the screen again.

- Safe driving tips - this will display a sub menu with the following options

----- Emergency kit checklist - this displays a list of items that the user can check off as having completed

------ No texting - this displays a page of text

------ Winter driving tips - this displays a page of text

Parking Buddy

- This will display a map with the users current GPS location and allow them to push a button to place a marker pin for their cars location and then a find my car button to give them directions back to the car.

Meter Reminder

- This will display page with stopwatch style function. Users can set the meter time via a time picker or set a time to be reminded and then they can start the meter and it will count down and alert the user when they have 5 minutes remaining.
