I have an android native app built which is used as our device loader screen. We had a programmer that started the work on it but could not figure out how to get the updates to work. We are looking for someone that can finish the project.

The device is custom made with two card readers and is running Oreo. I can give you access to a Mac with the device connected and all the tools to view/edit and use the device remotely using TeamViewer.

We want to be able to release updates to our customers who can place the apk file on either of the two memory cards and click a button on our app. The app is installed as a system app in system/priv-app/ and all devices are currently rooted.

The device has 2 apps which will be updated. Simply put the customer can put one or both updated apk files on a memory card and tap a button. The function will look at the apk files and determine if they are newer. If they are newer it will delete/override the existing apk file/s or uninstall/install the new app. Our coder was able to setup the apk file check and version check but could not figure out the rest.
