For a blended-body-wing with forward placed canards UAV, a CFD analysis is required with the following objectives:
- Calculate aerodynamic parameters and flight dynamics
- Optimize the model geometry where necessary to obtain maximum efficiency.
- Parameters include but are not limited to:
> Balance points
> Pitch and roll stability
> Control surface sizing and throws
> Lift and drag coefficients
> Cruise, loiter, dash and stall speeds
> Power requirements to achieve predicted flight envelope
> Span efficiency
> Wing/canards Incidence angles to optimize L/D ratios during loiter phase
> General flight performance at different speeds and altitudes
> Aerodynamic loads during takeoff, climb, cruise, loiter, diving and landing
