I am currently using a Powershell script in windows which pings a number of hosts and determines if they are up or down. Then it produces a HTML report (see attached) and emails a specified recipient. I would like to have this powershell script converted so that it can run in Linux. The powershell script uses WMI for the ping results, but you can use any method that will work on Linux/Unix - e.g. nmap, ping etc.
