Ajax touchtone simulated phone

This can be a proof of concept, or a partially built project so long as the CORE elements are working.

I want an Ajax page that depicts the buttons of a touchtone phone (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 * #). Each button should have two "states", similar to how a mouse-over works - plus I want an audio event when buttons are selected. When a button is pressed, I want the page to play the DTMF tone to the browser, plus via AJAX I want an action to be sent/submitted to the server without refreshing the page. The server will capture the information, process the information (I'll take care of that portion) and then send information back to the browser via AJAX (I need this develped by YOU FROM the server to the browser, which would highlight one of the 12 buttons that represent the touchtone phone - similar to if they clicked on the buttons manually.
