It would be good to have the following features:
- Trip search - ( search and sort travel companies offers - search by country of destination, duration, price, way of transport, last minute offers, type of travel: extreme, resorts, sports, music trips, camping trips etc. ).
- Registered users can subscribe to special offers according to certain criteria - if an travel offer is entered to database then people who subscribe get emails ( for example Indian plane trip subscribers get email with Indian latest travel offers to their email )
- Travel company search ( according to the type of travel, company address, contact data, services )
- Plane ticket search - booking ( location, time period )
- Hotel database ( sort by price, location - country , stars, type of hotel, some fotos of a hotel included, Google maps show locations )
- Events ( what are upcoming events in some country where travelled - event search option )
- Travel photos - users can upload their travel photos
- Google Map integration ( hotels, and travel companies locations integrated with Google Maps )
- Travel News ( possible for admin to manage news )
- Forum ( travel forums where users can discuss their trips, also add photo to forum message )
- Blog ( users can have their own travel blog )
- Multi-language, easy to add additional language ( language files included , most content in database at least 3 language portal )
- Travel news - Informational pages ( country introductions, city introductions, travel info on visas , etc. )
- Banner management system ( custom made or ready made banner system like OpenX )
- Simple newsletter option - users who check for newsletter receive newsletters regularly
- SEO friendly pages
Main admin should be able to manage users, travel companies offers, events, edit travel news, edit forum and manage forum users, also newsletters
