Convert 2 Tier Application to Multilayer / Tier Application

We have a conventional Client / Server application in .NET 2.0, written mostly in VB.NET with just a bit in C#, that we would like to convert to either a n-Tier application, or use .NET Remoting to access the functionality via remote, when the application is running on an Application Server. Other suggestions would also be welcome, as long as a non-destructive (no wholesale changes) are called for. Please note this is a Windows Forms based application with UI playing an important input/output function. The back-end database is Oracle, but most of the Oracle related processing will remain unchanged.
Only those with serious intent will be considered and they might have to convince us of their abilities and interest.
The total project involves around 50 classes, and 15 modules.
Further details will be given to candidates who show the right approach and give the convincing answers.
