customize Magento rss feed for facebook

I want to send rss feed of magento site new products to facebook using the aplication RSS graffiti but the default magento rss updates the date of products every minute. So it keeps sending the same products feed to facebook wall. I know this can change in app/code/core/Mage/Rss/Block/Catalog/[url removed, login to view] and app/code/core/Mage/Rss/Block/Catalog/[url removed, login to view]
I would like someone to do the programming so that magento rss feed only sends the date of late update of the products.
