Add multilinguage to joomla website with our current fixed main menu template

We have our current website online and running and need to make it multilingual, adding 2 languages.
The current template that we have, needs to set a standard/default menu selected from the template settings. I do not have the sufficient knowledge to know how to avoid this and be able to still have the right main menu showing up for every language.
For your information, all menus are created in the different languages as well as the content for each.

No, but you can have a template style (with own menu) for each of your language, but the best way is to have ONE menu with MULTIPLE LANGUAGES MENU ITEMS, this is how the system is designed to work.
