Create Two Characters for an animation movie for Adobe After Effects

Hi,

We were looking to have two characters designed and ready to be rigged in Adobe After effects. We are doing a short cartoon animation film for a socially active cause. Here are the details for the mentioned characters. The film will be in a 1980*1020 resolution screen.

Character #1

This is basically an anthropomorphized cannabis plant leaf. He is basically a person but looks like a hemp leaf. This is how we see him.

He wears a striped red white and blue headbands and wristbands (because he is super patriotic), has dark brown hair with long dreadlocks, wears white knee high socks that are just a little bit too loose, with white short shorts, the really short shorts, something like the shorts men tennis players used to wear back in the 60s. and he wears a pair of red chuck taylors that are really worn out, he also wears a white sweater vest, basically we need him to look like a retired tennis star who smokes heavily now that he has more free time.

CHaracter 2

This is a normal looking person, lets give him a light tan color, so he's relateable to everyone. He is kind of a klutz and a nervous wreck. He is a retired lawyer and we see him dressed up in a navy suit, that is very disheveled looking, white shirt, black tie, but generally very unkempt looking, he wears circular glasses and his hair is also constantly messy.

We will be rigging these characters up in after effects and animating them. So we will need multiple expressions, for both, from eyebrows, to eyelids to mouths, really as many varied expressions as possible. Anywhere from 6-9 for each character. We'll also need them holding a couple of different things, a tennis racket for character 1 and a briefcase with some papers jutting out for #2..

We are not very photoshop experienced, so if we could see samples of your previous work, doing character sketches OR if we could get an idea of what to expect before anything is billed, we would appreciate it very much!

Overall for both characters we are looking for a sort of grungy old school comic book look. We can try to find some pictures if if it will help you get started, or the if descriptions are not very precise. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

We have uploaded some extremely rough pictures to lead you in the right direction. We would honestly really like the expressions on their faces to be more realistic than the photos. and the general overall finish of these pictures arent very complete. just something to keep in mind from where we see the project going.. Thank you guys so much again! We can't wait to find the right person to do this project for us that is very close to our hearts.

The hemp character just to clarify is the more sober of the two, (the pictures dont really do it justice) - basically both the characters are really heavy smokers, but character one just hides it really well and has his life in order, the lawyer is basically a mess of a person. thanks!
