I am capable of working in any sector, especially Fintechs. I am a specialist in building ledgers and financial systems. I have worked on numerous projects from concept to completion—a specialist in Ruby and Rails. I take pride in coding to consistently high standards and regularly refresh my skills to keep up with ongoing developments and emerging technologies. To begin with, my top skills are building APIs using Ruby and integrating with third-party APIs as well. Moreover, the databases I use in development are either PostgreSQL or MySQL. Also, I have experience with monolithic services as well as microservices. I have worked with an organisation that had a CentOS physical server for their services and have also worked with an institution which hosted their microservices on the AWS cloud. In addition, I have also built numerous web applications and management systems using Rails, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for the front end. Also, I use Redis and Sidekiq to implement asynchronous actions if need be. The version control systems I use to track implementations are GitHub and Bitbucket. I focus immensely on writing unit and integration tests for the implementations to ensure that the codebase has less of bugs and behaves as expected. I have strong debugging skills for resolving errors and bugs. Tools such as Datadogs, HoneyBadger and Bugsnag are a few tools I use to monitor and analyse errors and bugs. I have also used server logs such as Cloudwatch on AWS and Nginx logs on a CentOS server. Furthermore, I prepare documentation and database relational diagrams that elaborate and summarise the aspects of the codebase, database, and its implementations using tools such as Confluence and Basecamp. Last but not least, I ensure that standard and current ruby coding paradigms are implemented using the Rubocop tool. This helps eliminate deprecated implementations. Finally, I follow a scrum project management methodology and have used project management tools such as Jira and Linear to create tickets and follow them through. In conclusion, soft skills such as the versatility to work alone and as a team is something I do with ease. I also have excellent leadership and communication skills. I have had the opportunity to serve as a senior engineer and a lead engineer for years. 減らす
