Looking for a solution since I quickly realized some functionality is beyond any hope of my skills - Setting up a website for my small biz: I need to sell/deliver custom digital wellness reports behind a customer/client login account. Ideally PDF files or similar that client can view/download/print once logged in behind their account profile - "security" is nice, but these don't need to have sophisticated security like lawyers or doctors would require for delivery of client materials.

Simple use example: person can come to website, landing page with simple welcoming/description of personalized services/about us, person converts to purchase a wellness report, create an account/user profile, e-commerce purchase of wellness service,... return in future to log in and receive the PDF of their individualized report(s).

I feel like I've seen artists and photographers that sell custom projects online, with a very similar client portal/experience... so it must be possible... but those pre-packaged solutions don't seem to be able to deliver PDF or documents. What's the most reasonable route to a cloud delivery of PDF/digital content that is specific to authorized users/customers of my small biz? ***small business-easy = was hoping something like SquareSpace login account app feature would provide this use, but it does not. Need something easy to maintain and add documents for new/existing small number of clients. Thanks!

From your description I have a good understanding of what you'd like to have, but I need clarification on the e-commerce / purchase aspect. Can you please elaborate on how you think that should be handled?

  Was hoping (originally/incorrectly) something as easy as SquareSpace or Wix and use their ecommerce options... but unfortunately I don't see a way to have unique content behind the user account login/profiles.
  The commerce/shopping cart just needs to be a place where prospects can see 2 or 3 products/report types of option; select the one they wish/shopping cart; create profile/login that gathers their email and shipping information; checkout via credit card (any of the major processing APIs are fine: Stripe, apple, paypal, no preference); receive confirmation of their purchase.
  After converting them to a purchase, that's pretty much the end of their online interaction (that I need for this project) - I would then personally follow-up with them to gather the info I need for me to generate their wellness report/product.... then later, and this is the "difficult part", I need the abily that they can return to log in and view/download the health report they purchased.

so you need a hosted solution or one that needs to be installed in "your server?" Please clarify. I think this should better be off as a project

  Thanks Mike... I couldn't understand/decide on project vs. contest but the freelancer.com support folks advocated for contest. No other reason than their suggestion... might have been a bad one.
  
  To answer your Q: hosted solution. We run our database software on AWS. I certainly don't want to maintain IT. Looking for the most "prepackaged", minimal infrastructure/headaches and ease of use possible to get across the goal line. Thanks!
