I understand for freelancers it is more tempting to submit when the contest is guaranteed.

However, I have run multiple contests on Freelancer already, both guaranteed and not guaranteed, and somehow I always receive better submissions when I post non-guaranteed contests... no idea, why that is.

Nonetheless, you may be happy to hear that I have ALWAYS awarded a price, even for the non-guaranteed contests. I only run contests when I really need a design, so I'm more than happy to select a winner.
