コンテスト概要

Everyone knows what the recycling symbol looks like. We need a symbol that people will soon know to mean bottle deposit recycling. For those of you who are unfamiliar with bottle deposits, there are certain states in the United States that charge a deposit (anywhere from 5 cent to 15 cents) when you purchase a beverage container. To get that deposit back, you have to bring the empty container to a redemption center or a machine.

I manage a redemption center in Brattleboro, VT. We are looking for a new "universal" symbol that we can put on our totes that people will recognize to mean this bin/tote is for bottles with deposits only. We have an area set up at the local recycling center for people to donate their deposit bottles and cans to charity, but unfortunately people are not doing a very good job of utilizing the space correctly (we are getting a lot of trash and non-deposit recycling).

Currently in the state of VT we ONLY redeem carbonated beverages (soda, sparkling water, beer) and liquor bottles. We do NOT take WINE, Ciders, or Water/sports drinks. So we need a symbol that does NOT look like a wine bottle or a water bottle.


We hope someone on Freelancer can build us the symbol we are looking for!
